Back to School Picture Books

I love picture books! It is definitely an addiction I have. I can spend hours in Barnes and Noble looking through picture books! So I'm linking up First Grade and Fabulous to share some of my favorites for back to school!

Nonsense Word Tic Tac Toe

I am loving this whole TpT thing! Why did I wait so long to do it?! I am having so much fun making new products! My newest addition--

Super easy and fun activity. You can see more about them here. I laminate them and the students use dry erase markers on them. You could also use game pieces or math manipulatives to mark spaces.

June Goals

I'm linking up with I Heart Recess for a monthly goals linky! I love this concept! Hopefully I'll come back at the end of June and say that I did most all of these!

Personal: My life needs so much organization. I plan to start with my bedroom. Too many clothes and not enough space!

Family: I would love to say that I could actually go home this month, but I'm not sure that will actually happen. So, I am going to plan a time that I actually can get home!

Health: Get active! I have to start doing something. I don't know what this something is yet, but I need to start doing something!

School: I want to make an outline for the whole year! Get an idea of what units and skills I want to teach when. Hopefully this will help me decide what units to start working on first!

Blog/TpT: Well it's official--I made a seller's account on TpT! This month, I want to upload my first freebie, and hopefully make some good progress on some other items to add!

Read: Beautiful Creatures. I saw the movie back when it was in theaters, and I was surprised by how much I liked it! It's one of those vampire movies, which normally I don't support. I have never been into Twilight and the vampire craze. A friend recommended that I read the book, because, of course, it's better than the movie. Hopefully she's right!

Now I need to get started on these quickly! I'm sure that June will fly by!

June Currently!

I am so excited that it's June!! June means summer, and more importantly, my birthday! 

A new month brings a new currently with Farley. I am all for a good linky party!

Listening- I have a love/hate relationship with Criminal Minds. I can't help but watch it, but it scares me so much! Even during the middle of the day, it's scaring me! I'm such a baby.

Loving- I am loving summer right now! No set schedule, sleeping in, eating at normal times instead of breaks. So nice. Of course, I say that now. I give it 2 more weeks, then I'll be ready to go back to school!

Thinking- I have one student that I am tutoring this summer to help her with reading. Nothing we tried this year really "clicked" with her. She did make some progress, but it was so slow. I have some new ideas to try out with her, so I hope one works! Any suggestions on things that have worked for you?

Wanting- I feel like Oklahoma is having continuous tornadoes! I am so tired of it. Luckily, none of them have actually hit where I live, but there is always the fear that it will. Did anyone else watch the Discovery Channel special on the tornado that hit Moore?! My goodness. Cried my eyes out. Watching about those schools being hit terrifies me.

Needing- Ok. So I finally jumped on the bandwagon (I'm probably the last person on earth) and got an Instagram. The thing that finally caused me to cave--Puppies for All. If you don't follow them, you HAVE to. If I didn't have an unhealthy need for a puppy before, I do now. So cute, it hurts!

3 Vacay essentials- My Nook loaded with easy, summer reads. Sunscreen--always. I burn standing outside for about 1 minute. In the shade. I am that person that buys SPF 100. And of course, good company! Writing this, I am having memories of my mom and sister visiting me when I studied abroad in Prague! We had the best time!
