May Currently

May is here! That means is time for another currently with Farley!

Listening to rain is so peaceful. The bad thing--the rain has a chance of turning to snow tonight! Snow in May--definitely not for me!

We have been end-of-year assessing like crazy, and my kiddos are doing so good on them! I love being able to see how much they have learned and grown this year.

Yesterday, I went with 7 other teachers to a conference. The conference was just ok, but the company was great! I am so lucky to work with some fantastic teachers!

My building has 6 teachers retiring, 3 pregnant, and 1 getting married. All of that equals to lots of school parties! The calendar gets busier everyday!

I always need sleep. I plan to sleep for days after school gets out!

My #1 summer goal--start a TpT store! I am super excited about it (and would love any advice from TpT veterans)! Other than that, relax, relax, read some school books, relax, relax.

Happy May!

  3. I can't believe you might get snow in MAY! Wow! Here in GA, we're just complaining that it's in the upper 60s! :( I plan on doing a lot of sleeping this summer, too... I'm not sure I'll ever catch up ! So happy to have found your blog & be your newest follower :)

  4. Oh no, sorry to hear about the weather! We finally had a beautiful day today...75 degrees and sunny.

I loved looking at your pictures of the caterpillars! I was a first grade teacher for many years before becoming a reading specialist. Every year we raised butterflies. The students each had two to care for. They treated them like family pets...they would even name them! I love first grade! Thanks for the walk down memory lane. ;)

  6. I noticed your caterpillar picture below. Ours just arrived yesterday. The kids are so excited! Good luck as you start your TPT store! As someone said above, be sure to utilize the Seller's Forum. Everyone is so helpful there. Also, maintain blog connections, and definitely have a Pinterest account. All of that helps tremendously.

  9. Thanks so much for visiting my page! I'm also happy to say I'm your newest follower too. While I love reading teacher blogs, it can often be so intimidating to see some of the veteran teachers out there and ALL their ideas and experience. I'm excited to read about your journey in your first years of teaching so hopefully mine wont be too scary!
