Hello again blogging world! It has been a long, relaxing, much needed break. We officially start back Monday--and I am nowhere near ready. But instead of plan, I decided to join Farley's January currently instead! Probably not the best use of my time, but oh well!
As great as the break was, I am so excited to see my kids on Monday! Hopefully they won't have forgotten everything we learned before Christmas!
Love love love my iPad! So glad you got one. So glad I stumbled across your blog!

I Teach. What's Your Super Power?
I would love to know how you use your iPad in your room! I have been researching and looking for apps all break!
DeleteI am trying to get Nook HDs for my students with 2 different grants. Was already told no by one, so I will keep my fingers crossed for the other:) I hope that the rest of your first year goes well! I am in my 9th year, and although some days are rough, I still love it! :)

I hope the grant comes through! I would love to be able to have one for each of my students, but for now I'll see what I can do with just one!
DeleteThanks! It is only for a couple of them. Another teacher and I thought that we could use them in multiple ways: listen to reading, math, read to self, word study, etc. There are so many great apps out there, including many free ones:)
ReplyDeleteI love my iPad too! It really helps with shows that I want to show to my class - like Mythbusters that I would otherwise have to burn to DVD's or buy the whole DVD.
ReplyDeleteI go back to work on Monday too. It's tough to stop looking at teacher blogs or pinning on pinterest to actually work! ;)

Life In Middle School
We got iPad carts this year. It has been fun trying to learn about the best apps to use with our firsties! One that we have used a lot is Scribble Press. Our kids have made some pretty incredible books on them. We tried to post some of them on our blog, if that helps. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I love your word!
